Mrs. Kristi & Mrs. Sheri Get "Locked Up" For A Good Cause!
In September of 2010, a "Warrant" was issued for Community United Methodist Preschool teachers, Mrs. Kristi and Mrs. Sheri. The charge was 'Extreme Use of Kindness'.
Soon, WANTED posters were spotted throughout Muskegon County, and within a week, several anonymous tips had been received. Mrs. Kristi and Mrs. Sheri were picked up and "jailed" on September 22nd. Due to their prior conviction of 'Thoughtfulness and Generosity', their "bail" was set at $16oo.oo.
Both teachers spent the next several hours on the phone, working tirelessly to raise their "bail". In the end, they raised over a $1000 and were 'released' for good behavior.
Overall, 50 Muskegon "jailbirds" raised a total of $48,914 on September 22nd - all for local kids with Muscular Dystrophy - as part of Jerry Lewis's national MDA Lock-Up Day.
